Product Description

Richie Lovett spent years surfing at the elite level and designed the 7S Salt Shaker to offer a dynamic and responsive ride, with the added advantage of extra stability and flow.

OUTLINE: Hybrid performance shortboard outline with additional width through the mid section. The tapered nose, curved rail line, and squash tail are designed to fit with the contours of the wave allowing tight pocket turns and fast rail transitions.

CONTOURS: Full-length single-to-double concave is geared for maximum speed, sensitivity and control at high speeds.

ROCKER: Moderate and very smooth from nose to tail. Maintains speed over flatter sections, and will perform explosive turns in the most critical parts of the wave.

FOIL: Refined through the nose and tail to add turning sensitivity. Medium gauge performance rails provide a reliable feel in both clean and bumpy conditions.

FINS: The Salt Shaker comes with an FCSII Accel. M thruster set.

Intermediate to advanced surfers can tap into their full potential and capitalise on every opportunity on every wave they catch with the 7S Salt Shaker.

Carbon Vector

Carbon Vector (CV) construction delivers unmatched performance by harnessing the flex characteristics of epoxy and the strength of carbon. CV combines a stringerless, high-density custom shaped EPS core laminated with biaxial fiberglass, epoxy resin and a distinctive carbon fiber webbing, (positioned on the bottom and around the rails).

The carbon fiber webbing serves to evenly distribute tension across the entire surface area of the board to produce a lively, yet controlled flex pattern with remarkable memory recall. The biaxial fiberglass on the deck serves to add strength and also help prevent delaminating. CV boards feel fast, light and highly responsive in all conditions.

Created by GSI to compliment a range of board models and designs, this construction has proven to have superior flex properties over our other board technologies by up to 20%.

  1. 5 out of 5 CV Salt Shaker 6'-2"

Havn’t surfed it yet, but as a guy who loves to surf I can tell you that the board looks excellent. Plenty of volume… I am sure that it will float me well at 6′-2 1/2″ tall, 184 lbs. Aloha

  2. 5 out of 5 1st surf

Had my first surf on it today in decent point break conditions and felt good straight away. Very happy with my purchase. Felt fast and responsive.

  3. 5 out of 5 8 months in

Had my Saltshaker CV for about 8 months now and have surfed it in a range of conditions in NZ. Really fun and easy to ride in small mushy waves. Fast and surprisingly controllable in bigger clean waves up to a foot overhead. The board seems to love top to bottom surfing, its easy to pop fins and it has a nice controllable slide. Downsides I’ve noticed – sometimes hard to get on rail when cutting back (may be a user problem though) and could do with a touch more nose rocker for steeper days.

  4. 5 out of 5

I ordered my CV Saltshaker online. It was delivered within a week.

It has been a cold winter in NJ so I have only used it twice so far. The first occasion was on a mushy waist to stomach high day. The 2nd was on a semi clean waist to chest day. I’m impressed with how easy this board catches waves. The board is very fast and responsive. So far I’m loving this board.

    • I think it’s very easy to say that the Salt Shaker is a very high performance board, especially after viewing a video of a pro absolutely killing it on one of them. That being said, it took me awhile to adapt my style to this board. But once I did, everything just fell into place.
