Product Description

Love Buzz is a performance shortboard, described as the ‘Love Child’ of the Hypto Krypto and The Ando model. The Love Buzz, a favourite of team rider Creed McTaggart, spent more than two years in development. The design blends surface area, rocker and performance curves to create a very all-round, fast and flowing short board. It will always carry speed yet give you that sensitivity to surf in all areas of the wave.

It has a medium / flat entry rocker for easy paddling and plenty of speed down the line or through flatter sections. It has the signature HS flatter rocker through the center of the board for flow and speed, similar to the Hypto Krypto. Out the back end it has a medium lift to allow the board to fit into critical turns.

It starts with a slight single concave in the entry through to medium single in the center of the board. This blends into a deep double within the single, with a medium vee double out the last 3.5″ of the tail.

NOTE: rider weight is based on board volume and intermediate rider skill level.

FutureFlex Construction

FutureFlex represents the very latest in surfboard technology and design. The construction process combines a stringerless, high-density custom shaped EPS core laminated with biaxial fiberglass, epoxy resin and a parabolic carbon fiber frame.

The carbon fiber frame within the laminate is the key to the performance of these boards. Designed to maximize speed and drive while minimizing twisting, FutureFlex boards essentially store and release energy as the surfer transitions through a turn. The result is a fast and lively, highly responsive surfboard that's perfectly geared for high performance surfing.

  1. 5 out of 5 Great Board - Great customer care

    1. GSI was, is great. They went out of there way to make everything about the purchase nice, shipped on time. Tony B. contacted me and followed up when he didn’t have to. Treated me like a friend on advice and service. 2. The board is amazing. I love being able to ride a shorter board with more volume ‘hidden’ in it. I was used to older style ‘big guy shortboards’ like 6’6″-6’8″. This boards combination of shape(outline and foil) with it’s float, rocker and technology is really outstanding. It has nice flex and isn’t too stiff or corky like some eps/epoxy construction. Without it being a groveler shape & being used in FL waves, I was surprised at how good it: paddles, carries speed and still (if I had the ability:) crank big turns like a true performance shortboard. Very versatile board with plenty in the tank on performance side. Great all around surfboard. I have ridden it in waist high Gulf of Mexico and head high east coast of FL. Haven’t had any bigger swells yet but from my experience so far – I have not doubts that it will work great. I am about 6′ 195lbs and have the 6’2″, it is perfect and if my skill set was higher the 6’0″ would be good. *notes: I have never done a review but after my experience with Tony and my happiness with board I decided to. Also I have always bought surfboards from local craftsmen here in Florida. I still will. I like to support them and they do great work and understand local conditions. That being said I knew there were/are shapers/boards and construction methods from all over that are fantastic. I decided to try something different with different construction. I was resistant at first to by a hayden. Silly – just trying to avoid a purchase based on hypto popularity or hype. After researching the board some I decided to try – very happy. I bought one last year and just bought my second one a month ago.

  2. 5 out of 5 Love the Love Buzz

The Love Buzz is AWESOME. The first time I rode it, it was 3-5′ waves. It caught waves with ease, turned smoothly and was a fun all around board. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to go out and have a good time.

  4. 5 out of 5 Revolutionary!

Amazing for 1-5ft beachies. So much fun. Got a size bigger so it was easier to paddle but it’s still super turny! Accelerates on take off and turns on a dime. This board would suit anyone. A mate tried mine and wanted one right away! Have owned a Fred rubble and a Js revolution prior to this. It’s a shorter and turnier package than the rubble. Has similar accerleration to the revo but just turns much better.

  6. 5 out of 5 Wow

Surfed it in chest high pinch beach break last weekend and it’s amazing. I’ve ridden a lot of boards and this one feels like it’s stuck to my feet. Easy to get into waves (though not quite as easy as the hypto) fast but very easy to control/check speed. Not corky or skippy like some eps boards.
