Product Description

The Adventure Paddleboarding Sixty-Forty is a true hybrid Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) that will transfer from the surf to flat water without missing a beat. This dual-purpose SUP is very versatile and a great option for the cross-training enthusiast who likes to do it all on the water.

OUTLINE: Full bodied, with plenty of curve along the rail to maximize turning performance, and allow the board to pivot smoothly off the tail. The generous width though the mid zone maintains exceptional stability during flat water excursions.

ROCKER: The rocker is designed primarily for the surf with a little extra lift in the nose and tail to fit with curve of the wave and also make turning easy. A flat section through the middle maintains flow and forward acceleration in flat water.

CONTOURS: The subtle displacement hull reduces slapping and helps cut though the water, single concave through the middle maintains down-the-line speed, and double concave vee out the tail enhances rail-to-rail sensitivity.

FOIL: While most of the volume resides through the mid section, the nose and tail have been foiled to enhance turning sensitivity. Soft, high volume rails provide exceptional stability and are very forgiving when pivoting off the tail.

FIN: Versatile 2 + 1 set up lets you customize the feel in different conditions, and allows for more controlled maneuvers in the surf.

CONSTRUCTION: X-2 is a multi-layered sandwich construction using epoxy resin, woven fiberglass and sheets of thin timber veneer wrapped around an EPS core. X-2 bamboo construction produces a light, durable SUP with extra strength on the deck.

FEATURES: Comfortable cavity handle for easy transportation, soft deck traction with tail kick, additional nose plugs for creating a forward storage zone, plus a bonus nose plug for mounting a GoPro.

APPROX BOARD WEIGHTS: 8’8 – 10.4kg/22.9lbs, 9’4 – 11.8kg/26lbs, 10’0 – 12.9kgs/28.4lbs.

NOTE: rider weight is based on board volume and intermediate rider skill level.

X2 Epoxy

X-2 Epoxy is a multi-layered sandwich construction using epoxy resin, woven fiberglass and sheets of thin wood veneer wrapped around a Nanoweld EPS core. This construction method produces a light, extremely durable surfboard that's particularly strong on the deck.

The durability and strength of X-2 Epoxy boards make them ideal for SUP's, surfers who like to travel, and heavy beach break conditions where other boards are prone to breaking. X-2 Epoxy boards feel solid under your feet and can take an absolute beating while maintaining their appearance for many years.

  1. 5 out of 5 First time rider

Just bought a 10ft board from Serious Surf Stuff in Inverloch. My wife and I bit the bullet and instead of hiring jumped straight in and bought this. After consultation wife the staff there we got measured and were out the door with the 60/40 in Blue. Took it straight to the beach and was amazed at how easy it was to use. Neither of us fell off on the first go. With the ease came confidence. Next day we took our friends out to use it. They to loved it so much there buying one also. It was great with one dad and two kids on it as well. I love the shape as it is similar to my surfboard shape. I’d like to get the two extra fins as well. I am so glad my first board is so cool. I’m really addicted now. This might be my first and last board. I’ll be stoked when I catch a wave on this. We are planning to make use of the front position to carry bags and do small trips on it to explore as well.

Brilliant board!!! I bought the sixty forty for my surf obsessed partner for his birthday and my whole family are
loving it. So much fun to use – well balanced and easy to paddle while great for catching waves – a whole new
dimension to our love of the ocean! I was initially a little worried about delivery to Perth from Sydney, but it arrived
without a hitch and the guys at Global Surf were friendly, knowledgable and great to deal with. Thank you!!!

    • Hi Adam, you could ride either the 9’4 or the 10’0. It’ll more come down to your ability and how you want the board to perform. The 9’4 will be more manoeuvrable and responsive but the 10’0 will paddle easier and get you into waves earlier.

    • I weigh about 210 and thinking about getting the 8′-8″. I ride a 10′-0″ right now and would say that my skill level is more or less intermediate. I am looking for a board with more maneuverability but also a board I can easily travel with. I’m curious to know what your opinion is.. thanks..

A well constructed and finished board it does what it says and works well in waves as well as flat water. A clever distribution of volume combined with the bottom shape achieves this. Superior in every way to my last board.

    • Hey Rob – the board should weigh in at 11.8kg – or 26lbs. Were you looking for something lighter or heavier?

I picked up the Sixty Forty SUP last week, I really liked the template and the distribution of volume. After I watched the video GSI made about the board it sort of was calling me 🙂 I have had a couple of boards before and this one is like about there of them in one. I’ve sold two of my other boards already. I like the way this board paddles across the water and can hold it’s own on the face of a wave. Great value for money I think. I haven’t got a Go Pro but the mount of the front of the board is telling to get one. Well done GSI great board, nicely thoguht through.
